Boot file Package stuck in perpetual Install Retrying
Have a boot file that I have distributed to about 14 secondary site for OSD. I am placing this image on both the standard DP of the site as well as the PXE point. At this one site, I am having an issue. I can distribute other packages with no problems. This package is copied to the smspkg folder. The distr.log states that it is extracting the file. States that the package is being processed (repititiously). I can watch on the server where the file is extracted to a tmp flder (contains the WIM boot file). Then disappears, only to repeat again.

I have removed the DP. I have also updated the package with new version. Still no go. Frustrating. Not even sure where to look as I am not getting error message in distr.log.

If you have created a PXE point, the WinPE system will be downloaded and then loaded when you boot into the PXE point from clients. You will not see the WinPE system in Windows clients because it cannot be run in Windows clients. Additionally, the WinPE system is actually loaded into your memory but not hard disk. Therefore after you restart the client system will not be saved. If you encounter PXE issues, I suggest you refer to the following article to troubleshoot.
