Blank Email Field
Could anyone advise how the following two attributes in FIM can be populated? Email Alias Email I have configured the following attribute flows in the FIM Management agent for PERSON; DisplayName, Domain, FirstName, Lastname, ObjectSID and they all work perfectly. I have now added "email" into that attribute flow, but user's email field is still blank in FIM. Does anyone know if additional steps may be required?

Assuming your flowing email from AD. The attribute is called mail there. So you need to select mail in the adma, and flow that to e-mail in your inbound sync rule

In my Ad Management Agent/Select Attributes I have "mail" ticked. And in my FIM Management agent attribute flow I have ObjectType:Person Email (as well as First Name, LastName etc). But still email and email alias fields are both blank in the FIM portal for users.

The map you made in the FIMMA will sync it from the metaverse to the fim portal, however you first need to get it populated in the metaverse. This can be done with an inbound sync rule in the portal from mail to email attribute

Understood, that makes total sense now. I've added mail->email into the sync rule, and tried creating a new user with email fields...still no joy. Do you know if this will require any sort of service/server restart to take effect?

I think you should run an import and full sync in the FIMMA to sync the config, but no restarts or something. Try to see where it gets stuck. Does the e-mail make it into the ADMA connectorspace ? and the Metaverse ?
