Biztalk 2010 extended support

I saw that BizTalk 2010 Mainstreem support ends 1/12/2016. Does anyone know how Extended support works? Is it per incident or do you buy a plan?

Thanks.

Refer to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/gp/lifepolicy?wa=wsignin1.0 for an explanation. The extended support implies that Microsoft will not entertain any product enhancement requests for that version.

Hi Brad,

You definitely get much less support from Microsoft in Extended Support for any product. But still  you can get almost same level of support for any incident like per Incident, Per Hour support.

Some of the feature difference you can see:

You can go through the below links to get more details for the Extended Support life cycle:

Hi Brad,

You can refer TechNet article http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/18709.biztalk-server-product-lifecycle.aspx

The Mainstream Support End Date is  01/12/2016 but the Extended Support End Date is 01/12/2021 which means you can get MS support in case of any product issue but future enhancement to the product  will not be available   .

So i don't think there is any case to worry . If you require more clarification then please let us know .

Thanks

Abhishek
