Best automatic backup procedure
Hi, I was wondering if there is any way to schedule regular SharePoint backups that would allow me to recover just a single site (or site collection) rather than the entire database? The other day somebody had accidentally removed a site. So we thought we should restore it from a backup, but our IT team was only able to restore the previous day's backup for the entire SharePoint, not for individual sites. So we lost one day of data from all the other sites. Is there a technology available that would allow us to schedule backups so that individual sites can be restored? Thanks for the info.

Hi, I think, there is no OOTB option is available for this. But you can create custom timer job to take a back up of single site, and this job will run periodically.
