Best Practices for Notifications
What would be the best practices for configuring notifications.. I have different admins managing different servers.. say Admin 1 manges server(1 - 10) so he needs the emails for only those.. Admin 2 Manges Applications (Say SQL) on servers (1- 10) so he needs only the emails for those specific applications generated on (1 - 10) ...Advice (do i use groups with members as server 1 - 10) what criterias shud i select for all alerts and appliction specific ones

Thanks Matt, You example is what exactly i am looking at. But here is my problem , the Servers that i will put in the group and then when i cretate subscription based on the group , i will receive all the alerts related to the Windows Computers in tha group. Instead i just want to receive the notifications for the SQL alerts on the machines in that group.

Try creating a new group, add only "SQL DB Engine" objects (not Windows Computer), and scope notifications to this group.
