Bandwidth throttling for SCCM 2007
Hello All,I have two tier heirarchy with one SCCM central and one SCCM primary server. Ping response between two site servers is not good and we get RTO in between. I have enabled bandwidth throttling at central server for primary server. I created one software deployemnt for clients assigned to primary site server. I gradually added machines in targted collection (25 machines daily). What i noticed is machines show up in collection at primary site after 6:00 pm (even when i add machines at cental in morning). Is it expected after bandwidth thorttling is enabled?

It you trorttle the bits bandwidth, the replication will slow. Also, therate limitof site addresses setting will also impact the replication between two sites.HTH.Jie-Feng Ren - MSFT

This will still ensure that all traffic flow down to the child site 24/7. Have you configured anything on the Schedule tab?Kent Agerlund | http://scug.dk/members/Agerlund/default.aspx | The Danish community for System Center products

that's the reson why the objects are not being replicated down to the child site. I will normally configure hign and medium traffic to my child sites. Then if you have larger packages like Office 2007 etc. configure those with a low priority. You do have the option to configure the package priority on software updates. Open Software Updates, Deployment Packages, properties of the package and select Deployment.
