I am trying to backup a site using SharePoint Designer by going into "Site > Administration > Backup Web Site", however this process is taking forever. Yesterday it ran for about 4 hrs and still it did not complete. I am using default settings when running that operation and it has enough space. I see the screen that says "creating backup files...." forever. Any suggestions?

I am looking to backup only a site and not site collection.

stsadm -o export/import works for single site. Oleg
