Back and Restore
I created a backup of site using stsadm in a .dat file. Unfortunately my sharepoint server upgraded before shutdown. Next day when i tried restoring site from the backup i had created. It shows error "Your backup is from a different version of Windows SharePoint Services and canno t be restored to a server running the current version. The backup file should be restored to a server with version '12.0.0.6545' or later." Plz give solution to this problem, as i have only one moss server to work with.

hi as one of the option you can create separate environment as you had before the upgrade (with the same Sharepoint version from which you made the backup), restore site on this separate environment, create in-place upgrade to the new version on the separate environment (to the same version which you have on production), create backup again and finally restore site on the basic production environment. It looks as long way, but probably it is reasonable solution for your problem.Blog - http://sadomovalex.blogspot.com CAML via C# - http://camlex.codeplex.com Graphs visualization in Sharepoint - http://spgraphviz.codeplex.com
