Hi
I'm trying to perform a Bare Metal test Restore of a Windows 2012 R2 server that was backed up using DPM 2012 R2 but I cannot see any recovery points listed when I browse the share from WinRE.
The BMR backup to disk on the DPM Server all works OK. The restore also works to a local disk on my DPM server.
The restore location is D:\Restore\DPM_4-23-2014_11.10.58>DPM_Recovered_At_4-23-2014_16.8.13>WindowsImageBackup
On my DPM server, I then share out the DPM_Recovered_At_4-23-2014_16.8.13 folder as \\dpmserver\BMRRestore with read permissions to Everyone (as suggested in http://blogs.technet.com/b/dpm/archive/2010/05/12/performing-a-bare-metal-restore-with-dpm-2010.aspx)
On my server to be recovered, I then boot from the Win2012R2 DVD into the WinRE.
After choosing the network recovery options, I then browse to the network share on my DPM server and enter the domain administrator credentials. This all works and I don't receive any errors.
However, there is nothing listed in the recovery point list. I press Refresh and still nothing appears!!!!
Has anyone being able to so this with Windows 2012 R2 as all the blogs and documents I can find seem to be related to DPM 2010 and Windows 2008 R2.
Thanks for your help and advice
