Is there a way using BCS or something to lookup the list on other sitecollection?

I have a list on a site collection. i need to have an exact copy of the same list on a new site collection. i cannot use list templates. Is it be possible to do through Business connectivity services. If so, pls provide some basic links..

You can use Export-SPWeb and Import-SPWeb command to copy list from one site collection to another

Yes, definitely it will be there but it won't work until you also move / create it's reference list to the same site collection.

i haven't try it yet, BCS needs to be deployed external data. and yes you can try connecting BCS, It won't affect current configuration
