Automatically setting email annoncement expiers period
You said, "The filter should be set to show only items where "Expires is equal to blank" OR "Expires is greater than or equal to [Today]"" Now, when user sends an announcement to the list via email, the "Expires" field is blank by default. I would like to create a rule that puts a limited time period on any announcement. So, I would like the rule to be something like "Expires is equal to <blank>+5" Is there a way to do that? That way any announcement wiithout an expires date will drop off after 5 days (or whatever number you choose).Dave Englund

Answered my own question. Edited "Expires" field to use calculated value of "[Today]" by defaut. Then, setup list filter for "Expires is equal to blank" OR "Expires is greater than or equal to [Today]."" That way, the announcements that come in via email will always have a current day (today) date in Expired and will simply display for the day of its arrival and drop off after that. Longer announcements can be created on the SharePont site by starting a new announcement and changing the default Expires date.Dave Englund
