Automatic document check in when it hasn't been edited?
Hi, I am using Sharepoint 2007 and Office 2007. I have the following problem I wonder if there's any way to resolve it. The user clicks the document title, the document is opened, then selects "Check out" but doesn't go on to make any changes and just closes the document. The document remains checked out to the user, so it requires manually discarding the check-out to allow other users to edit the document. This is confusing for the users and they usually forget to check in or discard check out. Is there any way to avoid this behaviour and have the document checked back in automatically if no changes have been made? Thanks. Best regards, Eriel
