Auto-forwarding email to a SharePoint list
We can forward email to a SharePoint list, but when we setup a rule in outlook to auto-forward emails to the list, it does not work and we receive no error message. I think it has to do with a setting in Exchange, we are running Exchange 2003. Thank you for any help.

Perhaps the auto-forwarding takes on the identity of some service account other than the user, and then maybe that account doesn't have rights to the list? I have not tested to find out myself...SharePoint Architect || My Blog

> Combined Knowledge provide a useful white paper on how to email enabled lists in MOSSHe writes that "We can forward email to a SharePoint list," so no doubt his lists are already email enabled.I have already moved an earlier copy of this question to Off-topic because his problem is either with Exchange 2003 (as he writes and wrote) or with Outlook and thus in my opinion the question should be asked in either an Exchange 2003 forum or an Outlook forum (where they will no doubt need to know which Outlook - just as we here always need to know which SharePoint). As there are replies I'm leaving this here, but I still think this isn't a SharePoint issue as he can already forward email to a SharePoint list and the question is about setting a rule in Outlook.(Moderator)WSS FAQ sites: http://wssv2faq.mindsharp.com and http://wssv3faq.mindsharp.com Total list of WSS 3.0 / MOSS 2007 Books (including foreign language) http://wssv3faq.mindsharp.com/Lists/v3%20WSS%20FAQ/V%20Books.aspx

We have the same issue in our company. Manually forwarding an email works but forwarding through an Outlook rule does not. Has anyone found a solution?
