Auditing for Site Feed

Hello everybody,

I currently have a strange request by a client. They are currently moving from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013 and they would like to use the social features like following or the site feeds (mirco blogging). Nevertheless I do have an little issue do to the fact, that for the client it is required to have an auditing for this feature to use it (company guidelines).

So in fact I do require an Auditing for the Site feed logging all content and actions. Does anybody know if this is maybe out of the box available or how to extend the social features? Anybody ever did this? :)

Thanks alot for your support. BEst Regards,

As far as I know only below auditing options are available

  • Opened and downloaded documents, viewed items in lists, or viewed item properties (This event is not available for SharePoint Online sites)

  • Edited items

  • Checked out and checked in items

  • Items that have been moved and copied to other location in the site collection

  • Deleted and restored items

  • Changes to content types and columns

  • Search queries

  • Changes to user accounts and permissions

  • Changed audit settings and deleted audit log events

  • Workflow events

You will have to research on what Custom events can do
