Audience Targeting a Calendar List Item Problem
Iwould like to use audience targeting to show items in acalendar list to different audiences but can't get this to work. Theaudience targeting does work to show/hide a whole web part or a navigationlink but I can't get it to work with a list item, like a calendar or taskitem. I've tried displaying this calendar in a Content Query Web Part and this gotthe audience targeting to work but doesn't give me a 'calendar' like viewthat I need to display these items. Please help, I must be missing somethingreally simple here.

Here is what you should do. Go into each item on the calendar and click on the item. click manage permissions and make sure they dont inherit. Add the groups or users you want to be able to see the item and you should be all set

David, audiences are not the same as permissions - they have nothing to do with permissions.BioGene, are you saying that after you turn on audience targeting at the list level and then after you apply audiences to each list item, it doesn't work in calendar view?SharePoint Architect || My Blog

I am having this same problem. Has anyone ever figured this out? I have enabled Audience Targeting for a calendar, and set one item in the calendar to target only one group but everyone is still able to see the item.
