As Attunity CDC for Oracle doesn't work with Oracle 12c PDB (pluggable data bases), and there are no plans AFAIK to update it, I think its a dead tool. So, does anybody know of a replacement tool to transfer changes from Oracle 12c PDB to SQL Server 2012 enterprise? As we bought Enterprise edition to use this Attunity external tool, are we tied to Oracle 10g and no pluggable databases?

Attunity CDC and connectors are free AFAIK with the SQL Server Enterprise edition.  

And I think Oracle 11g is supported, too, not the pluggable databases, as I deem the design approach taken by Oracle simply can't support CDC (correct me if I am wrong please).

In terms of alternatives consider replication e.g. GoldenGates;

But it is not an easy tool to implement and use effectively.

Attunity has another tool for replication, I'm not sure for CDC, and it works with Oracle 12c. But I don't think they are going to update CDC for 12c, so it is a dead end.

We are starting to consider automatic replication plus native SQL Server CDC. But I think replication from Oracle to SQL Server is being deprecated, I have to check it.

Another problem is that we have invested in an Enterprise edition and it is going to be difficult to justify that that investment is obsolete after less than a year in production and we need another tool.
