Atom feed data source
I noticed this press release by Informatica when surfing around: Greater conectivity to social data - Informatica 9.5 introduces Twitter streaming support and a streaming API for incoming RSS, ATOM or other web feed protocols. I have no idea what's actually involved in creating such a maping via this "streaming API". I've worked with RSS feeds via C#, but have not really even attempted to work with RSS or Atom feeds via SSIS 2008 R2 (or 2012). So my question may be off, but here goes: in short what in my mind would be ideal would be to open an SSIS project and drag a data flow task over to the Control Flow tab. Then double click on the data flow task, and on the Data Flow tab and drag over a Data Flow Source called "Atom feed", followed by dragging over the Data Flow Destination object "SQL Server Destination". Then all that's left is to happily drag-and-drop the incoming Atom feed data to the SQL Server Destination data sink. To put it another way, what's the simplest way to go from Atom to SQL Server relational using SSIS, either via 2008 R2 or 2012? Thanks.

You probably need to use a script component as a source that accesses the ATOM feed for you, or you can create your own custom source: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms136088.aspxMCTS, MCITP - Please mark posts as answered where appropriate.
