Assigning Fallback Status Point after Client installation
Hi, Is there a way to Assign the Fallback Status Point to allready deployed Configuration Manager Client Computers w/o reinstalling/reapiring the client? Background: the SCCM Site has been configured w/o a FSP and all clients deployed. Now we want to add a FSP Site System and have our clients use it. Thanks.

The only supported way would be reinstalling the client using the correct parameters. Or (unsupported): edit the registry: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Ccm\FSP\HostName

Just on top of Torstens reply, why do you want to assign the FSP after the installation? Are you running in Native mode? Kent Agerlund | http://scug.dk/ | The Danish community for System Center products

Hi guys, thanks for your prompt responses. @Kent: Yes, we are running in Native mode. @Torsten: Have you tried the unsoported way? Thanks.

@Torsten: Have you tried the unsoported way? Thanks. Why don't you just try it yourself? It's just a single registry key on a single client. Not too hard to try IMHO.

Sure I can try it to see if it works on a single computer. It doesn't mean it will work on the rest 9999 Clients ;) Anyway I'll give it a try.
