Are you sure it is only the AI reports or it is all of the default reports?

Most of the default reports are working... I tried most of them.. found issue only with AI and related to end point protection.

That is interesting, usually it is an all or nothing. I would reinstall your reporting point to see if that fixes the problem.

For me it looks like SQL management provider was not properly registered in WMI, you could try removing the AI role,  then remove reporting point, Wait 15 minutes, Add it back again.

Thanks for reply Prajwal... I would try that, any chance for me of loosing some thing by that move.. like my custom reports?

This have always worked and only recent change I have done is applied SP2.

You will not lose you custom report if you remove the reporting point. If you are concern about it download a copy of the report, so you can load it later.

Thanks but this did not solve the issue yet.

1. removed AI and Reporting point role

waited for 30 mins and rebooted the machine

2. added both roles - rebooted and still the same:

    • Cannot read the next data row for the dataset DataSet1. (rsErrorReadingNextDataRow)

How are you accessing the reports? Via the Console or webinterface?

Have you enabled Remote errors?

http://www.enhansoft.com/blog/enabling-remote-errors-in-sql

Do you have any errors in SRSRP.log?

How are you accessing the reports? Via the Console or webinterface? - Tried both same issue

Have you enabled Remote errors? - dont have that option in my SQL 2012

Do you have any errors in SRSRP.log? - Nope, not at all. It even says "Confirmed the security policy for folder [/ConfigMgr_TOR/Asset Intelligence]." and "Successfully checked that the SRS web service is healthy on server"

Probably above discussion is not clear enough.. I still have same issue going on and searching for suggestion / solution.

To be clear:

  • Only a few reports are affected by this issue.
  • There are no errors within the srsrp.log
  • You have enabled report errors

If all of this is true then you show open a case with CSS. There is nothing more we can do to help you.

This is working now.

Now I do have some of the reports double, which were not working before. (probably because of add remove of the role)

I deleted all one with older dates and left the working one.
