Our client is engaged in a yearly SAP GUI upgrade program of the workstations on their estate.

This is performed using SCCM (hybrid - Sccm 2007 & 2012, gradually becoming all SCCm 2012 estate) today and entails a lot of effort in terms of remediation and poses other challenges given the diverse nature of their estate.

It does appear that the end point SAP GUI upgrade can be managed via SAPs own deployment framework as against SCCM.

Yes, I know this is an old post, but Im trying to clean them up. Did you solve this problem, if so what was the solution?

I personally see no reason why this can't be done with CM, particularly when you use CM12 App model to deploy the SAP updates.
