Apply Operating System from Original Source - No Edition Available
Hi all, I'm witnessing some strange bhaviour which is causing me a problem here. I was doing some testing with a build and capture TS - and changed the Apply OS TS step to 'Apply OS from a captured image' to do some testing. I have now tried to change the TS step back to how it was originally with 'Apply OS from an original source' which points at the Windows 7 Enterprise x64 files from the DVD (already in a package on the DP and WAS working fine) but now when I select the package there is no Edition being displayed so I cannot choose it and it is not being accepted. Any suggestions? Thanks, Jay

Yes I am. I seemed to have been able to resolve this now by updating the files onto the DP again. Maybe the files had become corrupted some how? I don't why / how /if this would happen but now that I have updated the DP I can again choose the 'Edition' of the OS original install source package.

Just wanted to add, that whether or not you can see the edition from the TS editor, has nothing to do with the DP. Should you experience this gain you should right click the package in SCCM, and go to properties. Here you go to the Images TAB and click the Reload button. This action will do the equivalent of a DISM /Get-WimInfo on the .wim file updating SCCM with info on the different editions/Index's. Michael Petersen My Deployment Blog

I just wanted to report that this is still happening. I cannot select an Edition when I try to add my Install Package to any TS - even though it already exists within a TS with the Edition showing and selected. When I try to use it in a new TS the Edition drop down box is simply blank. When I got to the properties of the install package and go to the Editions tab - the Edition is displayed BUT if I try to Reload the image properties I got an error message saying 'Failed to load Image Properties'.
