Application Install Problem
I am trying to deploy FileMaker Pro 11 via OSD. I can successfully deploy this package as a separate advertisement but when it is included in the task sequence it does not show up on the computer. I can audit messages that state the program has run successfully yet FileMaker does not show up. I am running from the command line: setup /s /v/qn. (This works as a software distribution deployment.) I have checked that I can deploy the package as part of a task sequence without advertising it. Any insight will be greatly appreciated.k3v1nr055

Can you see whether this software install running while 'install software' phase in TS. ..? check for execmgr.log once you login after OSD complete.. Regards,

what does your filemaker pro msi log file say about it ? you can install the msi using a switch like this msiexec FileMaker Pro 11.msi ALLUSERS=2 /qb! REBOOT=ReallySuppress /l*v %SYSTEMROOT%\TEMP\Filemaker_Pro_11.log 1033.mst then check the log file to see what it's complaining about My step by step SCCM Guides I'm on Twitter > ncbrady

I am trying to install this application during the install phase. I have about a dozen other apps installing successfully including Forefront Endpoint Protection 2010, Office 2010, Flash Player, Quicktime, Adobe Reader X, and other Internet Helper Apps. So, yes it is. The logs say that the task has successfully run but the program is still not installed.k3v1nr055

On one of the clients, please follow the steps in the article below and run the task as a test. I am not sure how this applies to this situation. The package for Filemaker and the package for Filemaker updater both install properly when they are pushed after OSD is complete or to pre-existing computers. I have deleted and recreated the task "install software" and have the same result.k3v1nr055

I am having trouble posting the logs. When I copy into this field and submit the activity icon spins forever and never uploads. I have been trying to post here since Friday.k3v1nr055

BTW. I tried everything that was suggested. Either I already had the suggestions in place or they simply did not make a difference. I still cannot deploy FileMaker Pro 11 as part of OSD when the same package/program works in Software Distribution. All my other packages work in both scenarios BTW. k3v1nr055
