Application Export and Import in SCCM 2012

Hi,

I am trying to export the application from Primary SCCM 2012 server and import to CAS,in the import application wizard i have selected the zip file which was exported from Primary server, but it throws an error "you must specify the objects to import".Also to add this there were two folders dowloaded(one is zipped and other is unzipped folder)during the application export in Primary server.

Kindly provide the suggestions how to resolve this issue.

Regards,

Arul Singh.

Why do you want to export an application from a primary and import it on the CAS? It should be available on *all* sites in the hierarchy.

Is this primary site belong to the CAS? If so the CAS should already have the content.

You have to copy the zip file and the folder to the destination. Have you done that? Plus don't unzip anth

Just to be clear the primary site is NOT within the same hierarchy?

If you wanted to you could

Export-CMApplication -name 'Office Professional Plus 2013 R1' -Path '\\cm01\source$\appexport\Office2013.zip' -OmitContent

This will give you just one zip file, then just copy the source folder along with your zip to the other server.

On the other server run.

Import-CMApplication -FilePath '\\cm01\source$\appexport\Office2013.zip'

Don't forget to go into the data content location within the application and change it if it's now in a different location.
