You are actually the first one with a crash on FIM Service. To help us troubleshoot the issue the crash dump would help. For 2008, in Control Panel, select “Problem Reports and Solutions”. Select “See problem to fix” and select the crash. Report the issue to Microsoft. For 2008R2, in Server Manager, make sure "Windows Error Reporting (WER)" is turned on. When we have the crash dump, we can investigate. /Andreas This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. Thank you Andreas for your reply. I have now reported the crash to Microsoft, don't know why I didn't do that earlier but there you go :) Are you going to post any findings here on the forum or do I search for this on Technet? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Product Microsoft Forefront Identity Manager Service Problem APPCRASH Date 13.4.2010 10:22 Status Not Reported Description Problem signature Files that help describe the problem Version.txt memory.hdmp minidump.mdmp Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: Microsoft.ResourceManagement.Service.exe Application Version: 4.0.2592.0 Application Timestamp: 4b6781fd Fault Module Name: KERNEL32.dll Fault Module Version: 6.0.6002.18005 Fault Module Timestamp: 49e041d1 Exception Code: e053534f Exception Offset: 00000000000176fd OS Version: 6.0.6002.2.2.0.274.10 Locale ID: 1039 Stopped working Best regards, Bjorn Moritz

We've looked at this and the error is an out-of-memory being thrown by XSLT. This would be caused by a custom activity. At this time we do not have all that much to work on since the error is thrown outside FIM and bubbled up. We would need traces and collect more information to be able to resolve this issue. /AndreasThis posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
