I have an Intel Core i5-4690 running Windows 8.1. A few weeks ago I installed the calendar freeware VueMinder Lite, and it ran just fine.
Now, it fails to initialise, and produces the standard Windows advice box: "VueMinder has stopped working". The Event Viewer shows:

I have performed a thorough uninstall (Uninstaller followed by search and delete of all files and registry entries with "Vue" in the name), and then a clean install from the downloader website. But the problem remains the same.
Life is going to get difficult without a calendar: Can anyone advise?
