Hi.

I am trying to deploy Adobe Reader XI on client machine(WIn 7) but its giving below mentioned error please help. I am getting the below error.

The Software change returned error code 0x643(1603)

We will need more information because error 1603 is the most generic one the msi can trow.

What are you using to deploy the application (application or package)

Can you link the install command line you are using.

Always good when deploying MSI to add the application logging (/L*V C:\log\example.log)

Can also look at the log appenforce.log in the ccm logs folder.

command used is AcroRead.msi /q /qn

Well right after seeing the command line why are you using /quiet and /quiet no UI

Can you try this AcroRead.msi  /qn /L*V C:\loglocation\nameoflog.log



If you have a issue after this you can you look at the log file.



You don't need to do this test in SCCM just copy the file locally and run the command.

MSI exit code 1603 = Fatal error during installation. I would first try manually installing the MSI on the computer and see if the app installs correctly.
