Apple Quicktime Software Metering

I was asked to set up software metering for Apple Quicktime. Would this be possible? I have been told it would not be possible due to it being a plugin and not executing in its own memory space.

Has anyone experienced this or been successful metering quic

Start a website that uses quicktime and see what's happening in taskmgr. Metering is possible if you see a new process being created.

Once again I always enjoy your reply's and quick reply's to my questions.

I have setup the meter and evoked the metering cycle. I now see this in the log:

Found match against RuleID SP100324 for process 2760, name QuickTimePlayer.exe

Though my report "Users that have run a specific metered software program" does not show quicktime yet. Does this look correct so far?

This might take a little while ... there's a client-side task involved and 2 site maintenance tasks.

If you want to see some results right away, just to make sure everything is working you can use this method to trigger an update:

He's using an old version of the component, you most likely are running SCCM 2012 R2 - if that's the case you should use this toolkit version:
