App Controller and Azure

I have VMM12 R2 and installed App Controller on the same machine.

trying to add azure subscription from App Controller, but fails with error: "Category: Critical

I have to start the service manually. followed http://blogs.technet.com/b/kevinremde/archive/2013/01/13/step-by-step-connecting-system-center-2012-app-controller-to-windows-azure.aspx to create and add the certificates. tried looking online for people with similar issues; it seems our case is very unique...

Hi Ashneel,

How many Cloud Services are in the Azure subscription that you are trying to add to App Controller?

Are you able to add an Azure subscription that does not have any Cloud Services?

We've recently had a report that this issue can occur when there are a large number of Cloud Services that have already been created in a subscription.

Thanks

Richard

We have identified an issue that currently prevents App Controller displaying the details of an Azure subscription that has more than 64 cloud services.

Currently the workaround is to deploy multiple virtual machines into the same cloud service to avoid needing to create more than 64 cloud services.

Hi Richard, i think you are right that there is an issue with the number of cloud services thats running in azure subscription.

i created a new trial account and connected to it with out any problems.

as for the support, i had a chat with an engineer from microsoft, he suggested that App controller would not be offered as a product anymore. Not sure what the road map for it is, but i really didnt think to place any more effort when the product is going out.

There is a fix available for this issue from Microsoft Support.
