Any way to edit SharePoint template without using the Designer?

Hi,

I need to add some scripts to my SharePoint 2013 website template.

Is there a way to do it in the cloud? or do I have to use a local software?

Thanks.

Are you wanting to add the JS directly to an ASPX file in the template and then use the template to create new sites? Or are just wanting to add JS directly to a site page?

Hi Yos si,

I agreed with Mike, please provide more information about your requirement.

If you just want to add the scripts into a page from a SharePoint site template, then create a new site based on the site template, here are some suggestions you could refer to:

  1. Create a site with the template you want to edit.
  2. Open the page that you want to add scripts.
  3. Add a content edit web part to the page.
  4. Type your scripts in the web part HTML Source.
  5. Save the site as a template.
  6. Use the template to create other sites.

Hope it will be helpful to you.

Best Regards,

Chris
