Any way to change the deployment screen that comes behind the installation 1st phase on the client with my company background.
Hi, Any way to change the deployment screen that comes behind the installation 1st phase on the client with my company background. After booting the client through PXE boot. Can we change that background.? Regards Sharath

Yes... You can! If you take properties for your boot image you can specify the custom background bitmap (UNC Path). The image specified must be in bitmap (bmp) format and the SMS Provider must have read access to the share specified. Dont forget to update your PXE Service Point and/or your boot CD/DVD/USB after adding the image. Best Regards Ronni Pedersen

Should this be added in the distribution point properties? Within Deployment workbench?

Just select "Operating Systen deployment" and "Boot images" from the SCCM management console tree. Right click on the boot image "Boot Image (x86) and select "Properties". At the windows PE tab you can select "Specify the custom background (UNC path), Select the BMP (no JPG etc) file you want to use as a background. Make sure you update the DP's and like Ronny mentioned make surethe SMS provider has access to the share were the BMP file is stored. Rgds Marald

In MDT the Windows PE settings are in the Deployment Points. Open the properties and select the Windows PE tab. The setting you are after is in there.

I am having the same problem with my background on my PE not changing.I have gone to properties and pointed it to a .bmp stored locally on the server that contains the Boot image. I also have updated the DP for the boot image. Eddie

This seamingly very simple task did not work for me. I've deployed hundreds of SCCM/OSD and a custom background would be nice. I've assumed that "SMS Provider" means Everyone on the share and System on the ntfs permissions, right? The Share is local to the Site Server. Any ideas, the background is just black now. Thanks
