Any White Papers on migrating WSS 3.0 standalone to two server farm?
We have a standalone server with the application and database portions of SharePoint 3.0 on it. We need to migrate to a two server system with the apps on one and the DB on the other. We'll be using Win2003 Server on both with SQL 2005 on the DB server.
Are there any White Papers that cover this migration? Has anyone else done this? We would like to try this as if it were a backup restore just to test our disaster recovery.
We will be going (eventually) to SharePoint 2007 Enterprise.

> ry this etc.
He's migrating a WSS 3.0 installation not MOSS, so pointing him to a MOSS paper doesn't seem to be exactly what he is looking for,2010 Books:
SPF 2010; SPS 2010; SPD 2010; InfoPath 2010; Workflow etc.
2007 Books:
WSS 3.0; MOSS 2007; SPD 2007; InfoPath 2007; PerformancePoint; SSRS; Workflow
Both lists also include books in French; German; Spanish with even more languages in the 2007 list.

These are more relevent:

Pay attention to the stopping the whole source farm before move part and the creating sql server connection alias trick.
