Does anonymous access work only for a web application that is set up on port 80? I have enabled anonymous acess on a couple of web applications but only the web application on port 80 works. I have enable it the respective web applications and also in the site collection and sites. Still, only the sites in the port 80 web application works. Am I missing something?

I've done anonymous sites on ports other than 80, so I guarantee it works. What are you seeing that you say it doesn't work? Is it prompting for authentication or just logging you in? If its logging you in automatically it may just be a product of the security zone for the site in Internet Explorer. Tell me a bit more about what you are seeing and I'll try to help. This actually what happened: After creating the sites and enabling anonymous access using the ports other than 80, I cannot view them except from the machine where they were created
