Announcement web part view has changed following MOSS 2007 August Cumulative Update
Following a deployment of MOSS 2007 August Cumulative Update to our farm the Announcement web part view has been modified and is no longer showing Announcement body. Has anyone reported this to Microsoft? Is there a hotfix for this?

Hi Daniel, This method of replacing AnnouncementsList from backup has not fixed this issue in my case. It looks to me that it was Microsoft's update that did this damage, so Microsoft should fix it or provide a solution to this issue. I have also logged a Premier Support call with Microsoft, but so far I'm not having much luck with them either. Any other suggestions?

Hi, Try upgrading further with most recent CU update to check if it fixes your issue. Thanks, Rahul Rashu Thank for this suggestion however it's no easy feat to deploy application updates in a production environment (from the internal org and processes point of view, not from technical). For some reason it doesn't manifest in our DEV and TEST environments and I can't figure out what's different about them. In any case it's not really causing major issues so I'm not spending much time on it and hopefully we'll upgrade to 2010 soon :)
