An error was encountered while attempting to delete connector space object
Hi, I am trying to clean up the FIM MA CS - but cannot due to the following error: "An error was encountered while attempting to delete connector space object" I have tried all the options beneath this caption, but no luck: - skip this object and continue deletion operation - ignore error and delete object - skip all objects with errors and continue deletion opertion - ignore all errors and delete all objects If I select this last option 'ignore all errors and delete all objects' it then complains with "the operation failed because the object cannot be found"...while I can still see plenty of objects in the CS....they're empty ! Also , I cannot actually delete the FIM MA in order to create a new one. If I do create a new one, I cant really use it as all SYNC operations only sync with the old FIM MA, and not the new one. There are no orphaned ERE's in the Portal. Anyone got any ideas?

Last time this happened for me we had to raise a PSS call :(. But before you do that, have you looked at this recent post on deleting the CS? One thing I would try would be to disable provisioning and simplify (temporarily at least) any object deletion rules you may have set in the MV ... as you want to reduce the amount of logic being executed when the CS is being deleted.Bob Bradley (FIMBob @ http://thefimteam.com/) ... now using Event Broker 3.0 @ http://www.unifysolutions.net/ourSolutions.cfm?solution=event for just-in-time delivery of FIM 2010 policy via the sync engine

Have you tried running a full import on your FIM MA? And then a FUll sync and then do the deletion? But I'm with Bob on this. It's likely you got 3 options left: restore from backup to prior healty state call PSS wipe and start over Good luck! http://setspn.blogspot.com

HI, Thank you everyone - I backed up the MAs; reinstalled just the FIM Sync Service (and database); reimported the MAs; had to redo the FIM Portal Sync Rules - ...and everything is back to normal. thank you again!
