I've been getting this error, randomly when previewing two reports. It does not seem to be based on report complexity, size, subreports etc. When reports are deployed to server, they all run fine. I just get the out of memory error locally. 1. I have one version with 2 datasets, and a number of matrix, table and list data regions. 2. I have a second version with only one table data region. 3. There is no custom code, variables, prompts or generally anything other than basic formatting in the report. 4. Both reports are based on the same SQL table. I can seem to run the two reports (both based on same SQL table) a few times, and then they start giving the out of memory error. I can open other other reports and they preview fine locally. What I've tried so far to no avail: 1. Deleted the downloaded data before refreshing the two reports. 2. Tried building the two reports before running. 3. Tried changing the process priority to high for devenv.exe. 4. Removed filters in the reports. 5. Changed the physical order of the underlying table. 6. Closed the reports and then re-opened them. 7. Close Visual Studio and Re-Open. This seems to work for a while and then the two reports start giving the error messages again. 8. Copied reports to a different project with the same data source. 9. Removed fields not used in report from the dataset query. The problem seems to be isolated to the table the reports are based on. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions at all on this, it's particularly problematic as the table these reports are based on will be used in numerous reports in the future. Machine and other information: 1. HP Laptop, 4GB of RAM, Windows XP 32Bit, All Current Service Packs 2. When report is previewed, downloaded data is about 35mb, free disk space 97gb 3. SQL table that the reports are based on is only 15,250 rows 4. Every time I run these reports, the MemUsage for devenv.exe seems to increase. This does not appear to be consistent. I recently installed Visual Studio 2010 but I don't believe this is causing the problem since only two reports are giving this error. Hi Brian, To do futher troubleshooting, i would suggest you use less data for these reports to see whether the issue occurs. For example, add top 1000 in the select list or where clause to filter less data for the report to use. From your description, i can't see any exception on these reports. I guess you might need to add more ram for usage. thanks, Jerry

I have exact the same problem. If I reduce the amount of lines in the dataset, OR EVEN if I reduce the amount of fields to be displayed in the report, the error disappears.
