I am a Site Collection administrator. I have a custom list to which users are going to add Items. However, I want to hide some columns from the regular users and grant edit permissions on that column to a set of identified power users and also have a workflow based on the data in the hidden columns. I think implementing column level security involves code writing. Are there any alternative solutions that do not involve writing code ?
