Hi, I'd like to allow the users of our drawing-archive to create new files and modify existing ones, but prevent them from moving or deleting files. Is that possible with a sharepoint document library? If yes, how? Thanks in advance

While you can indeed remove the delete permission, you can't keep someone with read permissions from copying a file to another location. They won't be able to "move" it, since that would require the ability to delete from its current location, but they could copy it elsewhere.
