Hi
any errors reported? Can you try manually running one of the jobs to see if it fails?
I am seeing exactly the same thing. HyperV cluster 2012 (5 nodes) with DPM 2012 SP1 + CU3 (which was upgraded from DPM 2012 RTM). Multiple VMs selected in a protection group, some back up as expected, some don't back up at all. There are absolutely no logs (no errors (and thus no failure email), no success, no attempt, nothing).
I am testing on how to resolve this, however this is pretty concerning. I've set up recovery point reports to get emailed to me so I can keep an eye on this. Even then though, having to manually perform backups that didn't execute for no reason without any log whatsoever is pretty bad.
EDIT: forgot to mention - creating a recovery point for the VM that didn't have backups created automatically works as expected (Highlight Vm from recovery group > Right click > Create recovery point)
