Hi,

List alerts aren't working in select site collections for me.

I've created new sites and lists in multiple site collections. In some site collections alerts work and I get the standard "You have successfully created an alert for 'Announcements'" email but in others I don't get the email. These site collections are in the same server and  web application.

Any ideas?

Hi MDB,

Please run the command below to check if the alert is enabled for the site collections with issue:

stsadm -o getproperty -url _http://server_name/sites/sitecollection  -pn alerts-enabled

stsadm -o getproperty -pn job-immediate-alerts -url _http://server_name/sites/sitecollection

In addition, please also check if the sites has been added to the allowed IP address in Exchange.

Hi,

I ended up finding out that this was only specific to my account and not just Alerts but all outgoing emails to me. I needed up resolving by retyping the email address within 'My Settings'.

We recently changed email servers so not sure if this may have impacted things....
