I have a list that details the dates by when certain documents must be reviewed. I added a calculated field WarningDate to show the date 30 days before the ReviewDate. Next I created a view called "ReviewDue" and set the filter to show items where WarningDate <= [Today]. This view works OK. Now I would like to set an alert so that when an item becomes valid for this view, I will be alerted. Is this possible? The only option related to the view is "Someone changes an item that appears in the following view", but nobody will be CHANGING the document. [Today] will change, so at some point the item will appear in the view. How can I be alerted about this?

I think you should be able to use Designer to do that with a workflow on the list. Check out this link , its not exactly what you are referring to, but I think most of the building blocks are there. There is also some related information here that might get you on the right track.
