Alert supression
Good Day, My requirement is to get seperate alert when the state changes from 'Warning' to 'Critical'. currently I'm getting a new alert only if the state changes from 'Healthy' to 'Warning' or 'Healthy' to 'Critical'. If the state changes from 'Warning' to 'Critical' it does not create new alert and it gets updated in the previous alert with modification in the repeat count. Can someone suggent how to configure this? Regards, m7

Hi, You can add diagnostic tasks if it an unsealed MP. For a sealed MP, Create a 2 state monitor. Give the appropriate healthy and unhealthy conditions. In the next step you can specify what action each event triggers. Here you can specify when you need the warning state and the critical state to be fired. Regards, Dhanraj

Create two separate monitors, one to trigger at a Warning state, the other to trigger at a Critical state. A two state monitor will still only trigger one alert.

Hi, This is by design, to get alert when stats changes from Warning to Critical, you can refer to the following thread: Can't send notification when state changes from Warning to Critical; but can send when going from Healthy to Warning. Why? http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/operationsmanagerdeployment/thread/251b3a19-e894-4c5f-bd43-69c928989220/Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Hi Vivian, That was really helpful. Even it is not getting reflected in the Alert report generated for Logical Disk State. I guess this is also by design:) Thanks, Milton
