Alert Notification context / description
hello,
I have a lot of SQL alert where most of the interresting informatrion are not in the notification but only in the alert context tab. Anyway to change this?
Most of these alerts are sent by the All Alerts notification.
Should I create a specific Notification Subscription to have the description of the notification includes the Alert context?
A new notification Channels? Could it be done at the Monitor Description level?

Hi Dom
As these are in sealed management packs (in this case SQL), there is sadly no way to change this. It is the way the pack was authored. You could in theory open the management pack (unseal it) and change the logic but this is not a practical solution as I
discuss below:
http://systemcentersolutions.wordpress.com/2010/04/14/unsealing-sealed-management-packs/
The only practical solution is to write your own script and disable the out of the box one (even better, get your DBAs to write a script!).
Cheers
Graham

Thanks Graham ...
Let me see which script I could use as I saw some post
http://www.simple-talk.com/sql/sql-tools/operations-manager-a-big-tinker-set/ but I could not find the script (: and
http://systemcentercentral.com/Default.aspx?TabId=143&IndexId=59564 where there is a script.
I am trying to get more information in the emails notifications.
Thanks,
Dom
