Hi
Agentless monitoring within SCOM uses WMI and RPC:

Limitations are that most management packs don't work with agentless monitoring and a lack of scalability. Some previous discussions can be found by doing a search on this forum but agentless monitoring isn't really reccomended due to the lack of functionality
and scalability.

Why do you want to buy SCOM and then use agentless monitoring? How many servers do you want to monitor this way? You do still need a license per agentlessly monitored system.
Cheers

Most management packs don't work with agentless monitoring so it is of limited use. If you want to monitor servers with SCOM then to monitor applications like SQL \ Exchange or to monitor AD then you need to install an agent on the server.
If you want to go the agentless route then I still don't understand why you would want to use SCOM. There are easier and cheaper alternatives available.New SCOM 2012 Blog! - http://www.systemcentersolutions.com/blog/

Hi,
May I know if you are aware of the network usage or bandwidth? I think you can have a check referring to the following:
SCOM Operations Manager 2007 R2 Supported Configurations

Please see the section “Minimum Network Connectivity Speeds”
Network Bandwidth Utilization for the various OpsMgr 2007 Roles

Hi
Maximum supported number of agentless managed computers per management server \ management group as follows:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb309428.aspx
Agentless managed computers per management server
10
Agentless managed computers per management group
60
To be honest, why do you want to do agentless monitoring with SCOM? If you want agentless monitoring then there are easier and cheaper alternatives available.
Cheers
