I have installed the SCOM 2007 R2 Agent on our Exchange 200 Edge server, on its own workgroup not part of the domain. I followed the instructions from the following sites http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb735408.aspx and http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd362553.aspx to install the certificates on the Edge server and import it. There are no errors in the event log on the Edge server regarding certificate problems on the following: "The OpsMgr Connector connected to <SCOM Server>, but the connection was closed immediately after authentication occurred. The most likely cause of this error is that the agent is not authorized to communicate with the server, or the server has not received configuration. Check the event log on the server for the presence of 20000 events, indicating that agents which are not approved are attempting to connect" The server security settings are set to accept manually installed agents and approve them automatically. But nothing shows any ideas?
