Hi Fadi

Can you be more specific ? -

It must be a timer job that causes this! - second time it happens...  Can the "Dead site delete" cause this? (the portal ain't dead...)

Hi James,

Please go to Central Administration --> Application Management --> Site collections --> Confirm Site use and deletion and check if site collection automatic deletion was enable.

Then go to Central Administration -->Monitoring --> Review job definitions-->Dead Site Delete(for the web application with problem) and check the last run time of this timer job.

Thanks

It's like this:

And this for the "Dead site delete":

So the problem must be something else then... unless SP has the delete flag enabled "behind the scenes"?

Anyone knows how I prevent any deletion in the next weekend ?

Hi,

I remember I saw this similar issue somewhere, I would recommend to disable this timer job.

Thanks
