After enabling Multicast, the DP client become inactive status in the console

Hi,

After  enabling Multicast, the DP client become inactive status in the console. Disabling Multicast resolves the issue. Any idea cause and how to resolve

Thank you

Never seen that. Are you talking about the client installed on the DP? Which version of ConfigMgr are you using?

Hi,

I am seeing the same issue. I can track the last time the client communicated to the exact time Multicasting was enabled on the DP. I see the error: "Registry Value SSLState is not valid. Selecting HTTP for Site Role." in the Ccmmessaging.log file.

A deeper dive into the registry shows following keys empty on a broken DP vs a DP with an active client.

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\SMS\Security

SerializedEncryptionKey

SerializedKey

SignedSerializedKey

SignedSerializedKeyEx

Anyone seen this before?

Yes, I know this is an old post, but Im trying to clean them up. Did you solve this problem, if so what was the solution?

Since no one has answer this post, I recommend opening  a support case with Microsoft Customer Support Services (CSS) as they can work with you to solve this problem.
