After Restoring WSS 3.0 From Backup Forms Do Not Work
We encountered a problems where we had to restore the WSS 3.0 database from backup. The restore was fine but when we go into a form library to add a new form we only get prompted to add a new folder. This happens if I create a new form library also. Normally it would open my form in Infopath. any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Try this: 1. remove the content database from the webapplication and add it back using STSADM -o addcontentdb -url <URL of webapp> -databasename <content database> -databaseserver <server\instance of SQL>. Check if this resolves the issue. 2. If not, try the method below. Go to Library settings, Advanced settings and select "yes" on allow management of content types. On the library settings page, under "Content Types" you should see"forms" as content type. Mak sure "Visible on New Button" is checked. if not, click on the "Change new button order and default content type" and check the check box visible. Incase you do not see forms under "Content Types", click on "Add from existing site content types" and add "forms" from the list. This should add forms in the"new" menu for the forms library. 3. Also, Applying the latest Service pack may resolve the issue.I LOVE MS..... Thanks and Regards, Kshitiz (Posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.)
