Admin password changed, SCE reporting no longer working
Hi,Can anyone help with this? We have SCE installed and running well but I recently had to change some of our administrator accounts. However, the reporting part of SCE has stopped working and I get the following error:"Cannot initialize report. Logon failed. (rsLogonFailed)Note: The following information was gathered when the operation was attempted. The information may appear cryptic but provides context for the error. The application will continue to run. Microsoft.Reporting.WinForms.ReportServerException: Logon failed. (rsLogonFailed) ---> Microsoft.Reporting.WinForms.ReportServerException: For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at Microsoft.Reporting.WinForms.ServerReport.GetExecutionInfo() at Microsoft.Reporting.WinForms.ServerReport.GetParameters() at Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Mom.Internal.UI.Reporting.Parameters.ReportParameterBlock.Initialize(ServerReport serverReport) at Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Mom.Internal.UI.Console.ReportForm.SetReportJob(Object sender, ConsoleJobEventArgs args)Microsoft.Reporting.WinForms.ReportServerException: For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors"I have worked through the various accounts in SCE and changed the password accordinly but I'm still getting the error so I'm obviously overlooking whichever account is unable to authenticate. Can anyone help narrow it down so I have some idea idea exactly which account is at fault and where I can find it as I'm lost. Many thanks.Phil

Hello Phil,This issue may occur if the account details specified for the execution account were invalid or the password changed for the RS Execution Account. By correctly configuring the Execution Account in the Reporting Services Configuration Tool, please follow these steps:1. Open Reporting Service Configuration tool by click Start\Programs\Microsoft SQL Server 2005\Configuration Tools\Reporting Service Configuration.2. Connect to your SQL server.3. Open Execution Account in the right menu.4. Type and confirm new password.5. Click Apply. Thanks,Yog Li - MSFT
