Admin attempting to use Site Content and Structure tool in MOSS SharePoint 2007 gets IE 7 error
We are using SharePoint 2007 Service Pack 1, and Internet Explorer 7 (on XP). An admin contacted me this morning wanting to move some sites, so I pointed him to the http://blog.sharepoint-recovery.com/2007/12/11/how-to-move-a-site-in-moss-2007-its-that-simple/#comment-730 article and helped him with the URL to use to get into the tool. I used the tool to move the first one of the sites he needs to move, then left him to finish the rest of the moving things around. He contacted me a bit later with an error that says An error has occurred in the script on this page. Line 1936 Char 4 Error Element not found Code 0 URL http://mysite/_layouts/PickerTreeView.aspx?title=SmtMoveTitle&ext=SmtMoveText&filter=&root=&selection=&featureId=&errorString=&conUrl=%2f_layouts%2fimages% Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? Now, I didn't see this when I was performing a move. The user mentioned he also got this error when trying to use People Picker to pick a user in another, seperate action. I have web searched the error and only see it once or twice. In one case, they recommend turning off google bar. I've suggested to the user that he start a new IE without any add-ins. I have seen this in the past. Sometimes a reboot helps, sometimes not. Sometimes killing all internet explorers and starting fresh helps, sometimes not. Anyone else dealt with this issue?

The user ended up disabling the "NameCtl" sharepoint add-on and at that point, was able to make use of this sharepoint tool
