Adding SQL Server Reports in RMS(Retail Management System)
Hi ,
i hav a problm ,How cani see sql sever reports in RMS,(Retail managmt System),How can we add these reports on that?

Hi,
You can use the ReportViewer control to render reports in your RMS application.

Thanks for ur suggestn.ya i got an idea of th reportviewr thingy.th problm is am totaly new with SQL Server reports and RMS.So i hav no exact idea...is it same as visual studo.net report viwer.thn where will we add report viwer?and how we link this sql reports to RMS.Whether i want to crate a new form with report viwer in RMS? could u pleas giv me th descption .

Hi,
Well, you need to develop first the report then deploy it to a report server. When you ar done, then you can create a form in your RMS application and put the reportviewer control on it. you can set up the report for that control in teh code, also in runtime.
if you have installed teh SQL samples to you computer, you should be able to find sample applications about this topic at this location: %Program Files%\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Samples\Reporting Services\
You should check and try them also there is a topic in the BOL about these samples.

Hi
There is n error in connecting rep[orts to reportserver. i think the server url is not correct.i put the url as "http://<servername>/ReportServer".Is that corrct?

Hi,
You are right. You need to put your own SSRS server name instead of <servername>.
